My life changed—all because of two left feet.

It was Laura’s birthday party. She was the girl I’d had a crush on for months. Everything was going great… until they played salsa and she asked me to dance.

Terrified, I said yes. But once we hit the dance floor, my moves looked more like some kind of penguin mating ritual than actual dancing. Laura tried to keep up, but ended up laughing… and I, quite literally, ended up crying.

Crushed, I took refuge by the snack table and swore to myself: I’d never miss another chance just because I didn’t know how to dance.

That night, I signed up for the course. Bit by bit, I started improving. A few months later, at another party, I was the one who asked Laura to dance. This time, the floor was ours.

And even though a few people tried to charm her, the winner was me.
I’ll never forget when Laura looked at me and said:
“Tonight, I’m dancing with the one who makes me laugh… and now makes me fly.”

There’s no doubt—life puts you exactly where you’re meant to be. I learned to dance because my parents bought me the course. Honestly, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal at first. But one day, a neighbor invited us to a party in her hometown. She knew I’d been learning, so she asked me to come along. Man, I was blown away when I saw her niece at the party—the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. My neighbor introduced us, and I asked her to dance. That’s when I realized: learning to dance also gives you confidence. I never thought I’d have the guts to talk to her the way I did that night. We danced, and everything just clicked. Now we’ve been dating for six months.
No doubt—best day of my life.
And it all started with a good dance.

I signed up for in-person classes at a dance academy, but I had to repeat Level One—three times. Honestly, I could never keep up, and the instructors weren’t exactly patient. They even opened a “Level Zero” just for me and separated me from the group. But it felt more like scolding than teaching. One of those classes where you’re just counting down the minutes until it’s over. Then I found Rodrigo and Mariza’s course. From the very first class, I learned how to move my hips—I couldn’t believe it! I made so much progress, and fast.
